Christmas, my favorite holiday! The time of year where everyone is making cookies, putting up Christmas lights, and singing Christmas songs. During this time, you can usually find me buying gifts for family and friends, baking goodies to give to the neighbors, or looking at the Christmas lights.
This weekend, I plan on making a lot of Christmas goodies for the neighbors. I think I'm going to make gingerbread cookies, rice krispy wreaths, peppermint puppy chow, nutter butter reindeer, brownie Christmas trees, and chocolate covered pretzel sticks.
One family tradition my family and I have every year is that we go to East Peoria to see the Christmas lights. I love seeing all of the different designs and movements of the lights. Driving around and looking at them brings me so much joy and happiness!
On my stepdads side of the family, we do a white elephant gift exchange. It's usually split up by gender so the girls give the girls gifts and the guys give the guys gifts. Last year I had my cousin Jamie and I got her some fuzzy socks, a Grey's Anatomy calendar (since she is going to be a nurse), a gift card to Bath and Body Works, and a package of Starburst (which she loves).
We also make a new ornament for our Christmas tree every year. This year I made a cupcake out of a clear glass ornament, a cupcake wrapper, some silver spray paint, a little fluffy ball, and some sparkles. It was so fun to make!
Here are some other recipes I use when I'm baking my Christmas goodies! Try these or any of the other recipes on my other pages and comment down below what you think. Have a merry Christmas!
